Hello! Today I’d like to introduce you to some of my favorite online entrepreneurs, in the blogging world. These people played a big role in my decision to start my own blog, but more so in making the dream of financial freedom seem like an achievable reality (because it is!).
Just a little side note, while “online entrepreneurs” encompasses a wide variety of platforms online, in this article I am only focusing on those that have used blogging as a successful tool for their business.
In any case, I’d like to say that I admire all of these individuals, who are of diverse backgrounds and passions but were able to achieve their financial freedom and encourage others to do the same. If any of you have ever thought of being financially independent and ditching the norm of the traditional 9-5 (or 8-5 really) then you need to know these people!
Pat Flynn | Smart Passive Income
I’ve followed Pat for over about 2 years now, and what I appreciate from him the most is his humility, but also his continuous journey towards self improvement. Pat is very inspirational and is always looking to improve his craft. He makes his content relevant, enjoyable, and actionable.
I love reading Pat’s income reports because of the level of detail and also because it shows the diversity of his income streams. As with many things in life, you don’t want to put all of your eggs in one basket. Thus, having a diverse portfolio can only help you move forward, find what works and what doesn’t and decide based on the information at hand. May I add that just this past March he made over $250,000!
Oh, I also highly recommend his podcast! Pat has interviewed a number of successful online entrepreneurs and they all have tons of feedback and ideas that we can all implement as online entrepreneurs. Many of the guests also discuss their journey to success, which is my favorite part because it shows that everyone started from scratch. Success takes hard work, but as the saying goes: if you love what you do, you will never work one day in your life.
I recommend SPI to anyone who has ever considered conducting business online.
Regina Anaejionu | ByRegina
Regina has such a personal touch, she’s like the friend that always keeps you motivated and willing to help. She is very down to earth, incredibly smart, and overall awesome.
She is always willing to help and treats you like a friend. What I love about byRegina, is the resources and action plans available. Just by signing up to her email list you get a a free 46-PAGE workbook and business notes. Isn’t that awesome?! She is the true MVP I tell you.
ByRegina has content for everyone. Whether you are a total noob (like me) or a seasoned professional she will have a resource available for you. Regina is very genuine and works hard to help others, while at the same time doing something she loves. I thoroughly enjoy her writing style, it feels like you are having a conversation with a bestie.
Regardless of your niche or knowledge you are sure to find great resources at byRegina.com (I approve of this message)
Ramit Sethi | I Will Teach You to be Rich
Oh Ramit, what can I say about you? Ramit is very different from the other entrepreneurs on this list, in the way he approaches his readers, and I very much appreciate that from him. He is a no nonsense guy, who tells it to you like it is. We all need a person like that in our lives.
I feel that Ramit takes a very scientific (and effective) approach to business. A lot, if not all of his content is backed up by research and you can see how and where to apply it in your life.
Ramit doesn’t sugarcoat anything for his readers and is very honest about his motivations, his failures, and his drive to succeed. His unapologetic content also helps his readers be honest to themselves, be true to their motivations, and own their passions. Ramit is as honest as it gets folks.
If you do a good job he’ll let you know you did. And if you do a mediocre job, oh believe, he’ll let you know.
If you like a systematic and proven approach to business, he’s your guy.
Michelle Schroeder-Gardner | Making Sense of Cents
Michelle is truly inspirational. She was able to turn a “hobby” into a profitable business through her Making Sense of Cents blog. Not too long ago, she made less than $100,000 a year, now she’s making that same amount and then some, a month.
But more than the financials, what I love about her blog is her passion to help her readers be financially literate. She provides great tips for making money, saving money, and enjoying life.
Michelle is very open about how she does business online and is always willing to lend a helping hand. This year she launched her Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course (which I hope to enroll in soon) and I’ve only heard great things from those that have taken it.
She is someone that you look up to and say “if she could do it, then I can too.”
If you are looking for tips on: traveling, making money, saving money, paying off debt, and blogging….then wait no longer and just visit Making Sense of Cents.
These were just some of the few entrepreneurs that I look up to. I’ve learned a lot from them and they continue to inspire me to do my best in this entrepreneurial journey.
How about you? Who are your favorite online entrepreneurs? Why?
I would love to get your feedback and also gain new inspiration 😉
